But here in Superhero Movie, we see a few rather famous actors like:

• Christopher McDonald which starred in movies like: Requiem for a Dream, The Skulls and The Faculty
• Leslie Nielsen which I am pretty sure most of us remember from movies like: Scary Movie 3-4, Wrongfully Accused and The Naked Gun.
• Brent Spiner which anyone that have seen the Star Trek Movies can recognise as Data, though he did also have a role in Independence Day.

I will try not to go too deep into the movie plot, so that I wont ruin it for people who hasn’t seen the movie yet, but I do want to coin a phrase which I thought a lot while I was watching the movie, “Surely nothing is holy in this movie” and that does indeed describe it very well.

After what I noticed Superhero Movie spoofs at least 4 other movies:

• Spiderman
• Batman
• X-Men
• Fantastic Four

Somehow the director took different parts of all these movies and put them together into a storyline that is worth watching, if for nothing else then at least for the laughs.
All of the above movies have parts in Superhero Movie though the one that truly dominates mostly is Spiderman, many of the storyline paths and twists have been “borrowed”..

On the special effects side, I will say that there is nothing really spectacular in this movie, most of the visual effects are okay, but a bit bland compared to some of the newer movies, where we have been spoiled by photo-realistic CGI, but I didn’t notice any particular bad special effects in this movie.

I have gotten some pictures from the movie itself, so if you want you can see what it is like. Though the pictures aren’t in the best quality, they should be watchable. Check for my gallery link in the bottom of the post.

Overall I’d say that the movie is definitely worth a watch, maybe not a buy, personally I wouldn’t buy it unless it was on sale, but renting it is also a very viable possibility. Most parts of the movie is rather fun if you can stand some of the more lame jokes that are in this movie, plus the movie does indeed continue the trend that Epic Movie set with walking right up to the line and then blowing across it a few miles, many of the things are blown out of proportion to the point where they become more lame then fun..

Now since this is my first movie review, I have really had problems figuring out what to say about the movie, so if any of you have any suggestions, please feel free to put in a comment..

Now for the score of this movie, I will give it an 7. I had thought about an 8 but due to many of the jokes in the movie being lame and some even pointless, I decided that 7 was more fitting..

I played the old version and I wasn’t very impressed due to increasing amounts of crashes and just overall bad performance from the game engine, though I am happy to say that they have really been hard at work on improving their engine to the point where the game is actually playable..
To tell a little about the game play. You play as a loner wolf which has just left your birth pack to venture out into the mountain range and find yourself a mate..

In the game there are 3 pack zones of the map (zones which belong to other wolf packs) and you can visit those three to “talk” to other wolves, now the game isn’t very informative on what you have to do, because you kinda have to visit all three zones before you even have a change at finding a mate..
After you have found yourself a mate and done a little courtship for your prospective mate, you get to name your mate and he or she will follow you around on your journey through the Yellowstone National Park..

The AI is okay, though sometimes I have had a few problems with my mate, getting him to follow me around but after a howl or two, he usually comes running back to me..

After you get yourself a mate, you don’t really have many other things to do in the game. You can go rabbit and elk hunting, you can also try and hunt down a few of the coyotes in the game and even try your paw at hunting one of the Grizzlies in the park, but the Grizzlies aren’t really that easy to hunt down..

And that’s basically what there is to the game, get a mate and hunt.. There is also an multi player part of the game that I haven’t tried yet, due to some annoying lag/timeout issues with their network engine, so I cannot talk very much on the multi player part of the game, but the single player part is quite lacking really..

I am sorry for the lack of pictures in the post, but I haven’t gotten around to take some yet, when I have I will put them up on my gallery page where you can check them out, but right now there aren’t any images from that game yet..

I will also say a few things about game performance.. Sure the game can be rather pretty when your play on the highest setting, but with my computer (not the newest but not the oldest) I get down to 3 fps when there are more characters on the screen other than my mate and me, so if I wanted to do some serious elk hunting, I have to set the game down 2 notches over the lowest setting, which makes all the game graphics mediocre at best..

Though I have not even had one crash yet, so they have done a lot to improve that at least..
Last but not least, I will recommend the game for others that are interested in such games, because it is an okay game and best of all it’s free, so there is hardy anything I can complain about in regards to price.

I’ll give the game a score of around 5/10, it’s an okay game but there could be done a lot to improve the game play and the graphical rendering (engine).. I know they use a commercial engine called Unity and I know that the Unity engine can do a lot of nice things, so I guess they really just need to look into using more shader accelerated routines and maybe cut a bit back on the poly count of the models that they use, or the sizes of their textures..

But all in all, try it out, it is at least worth 20 minutes of your time.

Last time i played CoX was around issue 4-5 or so and man much have changed..

So i rolled a new villain which i called “Shadow Viper” and i must say, i am actually having loads of fun.. Normally i found the game very boring and repetitive and sure it is still very repetitive but they have really put in a lot more storyline which made the game more fun, plus there are a lot more active RP supergroups which just adds even more to the value of the game, also they have made a new invention / crafting system which also give quite a bit of customization possibilities..

So all in all, i am very unsure if i am gonna become a subscriber again, because many such games which seem fun at first, becomes dull and boring after a few days, so it’s good that i have around 14 days or so, so try out the game again and see if i really like it, but i will say that i like the villain side of CoX more than i like the hero side, maybe because the villain side of CoX is more geared towards a solo players than the hero side of CoX, i think that is what really attracts me..

I have also found a nice supergroup, which is helpful to new/returning players even though it’s an villain supergroup..

So all in all, i am having fun so far in CoX and if any of my readers are playing CoX feel free to look me up.. I play on the European server called Unity and i usually play a villain called “Shadow Viper” else you can catch me on my global nick @Dark Maiden (or @SilverDK).

A Tale in the Desert is an sandbox kinda game, where you play an resident of Egypt, and you have to build up your life/home/workshop, there is no combat of any kind (that i have seen so far) and i must say that it’s the most relaxing game i’ve ever played, ever!
Though it’s not for everybody. If you’re the kind of person that needs action all the time, then this game is certainly nothing for you, you’ll prolly find it boring and bland..

The graphics aren’t anything to phone home about either, it’s poor quality 3D graphics, but it does its job..

ATITD is also a micromanagement game, which i think is the part that i like the most about it. It is also focused almost entirely around crafting, from building a Brick Rack, to building your own Compound..

It’s not free, though there is a free trial for it (where you can play 24 hours, which is 24 hours of playing time), after that you need to pay 14$ a month for playing it..
Many say that the game is dying, but because it’s a niche game and only appeals to a small group of players, the game will never see the big numbers that other MMORPGs, it will be classified as dead by some people, though that is far from the truth..

The truth is, that it’s still flourishing with the subscriber numbers going up and down, but the lead developer of ATITD is already developing the fourth tale.

Anyways, i like the game and you might too. There’s nothing to loose from trying it out..

The game is based around the Jurassic Park movies, and uses some known characters from the said movies, and the objective is: *drumroll* You have to build up an park for Dinosaurs. *chuckles*

Actually when one reads it like that, it can sound rather boring, but i find the game fun. It’s not very graphically complex really, but it does have a good game play value, which i find a lot more important than graphics really.
It has a few twists on the general “Theme Park” creation game in the way of small mini games which you can play, inside the game..

One of the small mini games is for example, when you have to contain a Dino outbreak, you get put in control of a chopper which you have to navigate around in your park, and either kill or Tranquilize the Dinos which has run amok, there are also a few others, like when you get a balloon ride, you can try and take pictures from the balloon..

Those small mini games really makes the game a bit more fun to play and adds diversity to it as well, which is just another good thing really..

Generally i can recommend the game to anybody that likes the “Theme Park Creation” games, like “Sim Theme Park” and others in that area, if nothing else, i am pretty sure you can get the game rather cheap in an games bin in some shop somewhere, because it is back from 2003..

Also you can get the game for either PC, XBOX or PS2, so there are plenty of choices..
